Rick Settersten, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs

As Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Richard Settersten oversees university-level programs to build and support an outstanding and diverse faculty; programs and initiatives to develop academic leaders; implementation of the university's strategic plan; development and implementation of OSU’s internationalization strategies; university policies and procedures; and faculty personnel matters and labor relations.

Rick is University Distinguished Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences and holder of the Barbara Knudson Endowed Chair in Family Policy. He served as head of the School of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences and was founding director of the Hallie Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families. He holds a PhD in human development and social policy from Northwestern University. Rick’s executive assistant is Sara Daly.
