Rick Settersten, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs 

As Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Richard Settersten oversees university-level programs to build and support an outstanding and diverse faculty; programs and initiatives to develop academic leaders; implementation of the university's strategic plan; development and implementation of OSU’s internationalization strategies; university policies and procedures; and faculty personnel matters and labor relations.

Rick is University Distinguished Professor of Life Course and Human Development and holder of the Barbara Knudson Endowed Chair in Family Policy. He served as head of the School of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences and was founding director of the Hallie Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families. He holds a PhD in human development and social policy from Northwestern University. Rick’s executive assistant is Sara Daly.

Gloria Crisp, Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs 

As Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Gloria Crisp provides leadership to developing and administering programs that support the professional success and advancement of a diverse and outstanding faculty, the development of university academic leaders, and the recognition of faculty excellence and provision of awards.

Gloria also maintains an active role as Professor of Adult and Higher Education in the College of Education. She served as Acting Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for the College of Education (2022-23) and chair of the Adult and Higher Education programs from 2018-2022. She holds an Ed.D. in higher education administration from the University of Houston.

Sara Daly, Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs 

In her role as Executive Assistant, Sara Daly provides executive-level support to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs (VPFA). Sara’s responsibilities include assisting the VPFA with duties related to academic personnel, faculty recruitment and retention, and faculty excellence. Sara is responsible for a thorough understanding of the University’s Promotion and Tenure guidelines, as well as other policies and procedures related to academic and professional faculty. She liaises with the University’s senior leadership, administrative offices, the Faculty Senate and faculty at large. She coordinates the University’s Dual Career Hiring program, the Tenured Faculty Diversity Initiative and the Professional Faculty Professional Development Fund. Sara serves as a member of the Accreditation Steering Committee and provides administrative support for the Strategic Plan Steering Committee. Before Sara joined the Office of Faculty Affairs (formerly Academic Affairs) in 1999, she earned her bachelor's degree in graphic design from Oregon State University.

Diane Jones, Administrative Assistant 

In her role as Administrative Assistant, Diane Jones supports the Associate Vice Provost for the Office of Faculty Affairs, as well as the other team members within the office. Diane’s current responsibilities will include the support of programs which advance faculty development and recognition awards. She joined the team in May 2023. Diane relocated from Arizona three years ago to be closer to family. She has worked in California, Texas, Colorado, and Arizona supporting executives and teams in the office as well as fully remotely over the past decade. Diane brings a wide range of knowledge and qualifications to support the team based primarily on her experience working in the Bay Area technology industry.

Morgan Raleigh, Faculty Affairs Associate 

In her role as Faculty Affairs Associate, Morgan Raleigh supports the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. Morgan’s primary focus is on faculty excellence and faculty development projects, which serve the needs of the Provost’s Office and the University’s strategic goals. She joined the Faculty Affairs team in 2023. Before moving to Oregon, Morgan served in a variety of capacities related to university enrollment and admission. Most recently she served as the Director of Recruitment at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Morgan holds a Master of Education in Student Development Administration from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication: Public Relations from Pacific Lutheran University.

Katheryn Yetter, University Policy and Standards Specialist 

Katheryn Yetter serves as the university policy and standards specialist and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and archiving university policies and standards, which are published in the University Policy and Standards Manual. University policies and standards help support the university’s mission and its commitment to teaching, research, and outreach and engagement. Before joining Oregon State University in April 2022, she served as the associate provost for academic affairs at The National Judicial College. Katheryn is an active member of the Oregon State Bar and holds a doctor of jurisprudence from Willamette University College of Law and a bachelor of science from the University of Oregon.
